The first supper that I decide to cook for my hubby in our new house was “Steak au Poivre” (Pepper Steak). This is one of my specialities and I decided to start off in a good way.
If you want to do this recipe at home, below are the ingredients:
1. Start by grilling the steak, I have the famous AMC pans, so I didn’t need any oil or butter. Feel free to grill them the way you want.
2. On the side, heat the cream, add one teaspoon of corn, then add black pepper, white pepper, nutmeg and salt according to your preference. Once the sauce is ready add the mushrooms (make sure to add the mushrooms slices and already cooked. I use canned mushrooms)
3. When the steak is grilled and the sauce finalized; pour the sauce to the steak and mix. Allow some time for the steak to drink the sauce, then serve.
You can add corn, potatoes, and other vegetables according to your taste.
