Week 12 Let’s Organize Our Chores This Week

Honey, why are these plants dead?

Dead?!

When was the last time you watered them?!

Water them?

I am not the one who water the plants! You water them!

I never watered them, you always do…

Bla bla bla…

I am sure many of you can relate to similar types of conversations no matter who they happen to have them with.

This week we have two challenges! For those of you who are following the challenge, we are focusing on organization for the month of April, plus, the end of April ends three months of #Chantals2020WeeklyChallenge so we need to reap what we have planted.

Let’s Organize Our Chores This Week

My name is Chantal Souaid Mchantaf and I am a blogger and trainer among many interesting things (you can get to know me better when you read my about me or visit my LinkedIn account to know me professionally, yes I will surprise you). This year I embarked on a weekly goal challenge as a means to improve my year one week at a time.

If you want to improve your year step by step at a slow pace and ensure that you implement your goals, then this challenge is yours to take! Read more about Chantal’s 2020 Weekly Challenge.

So the first thing we will do this week is organize our hour chores!

How are we going to do that you may ask?!

Here are four steps to organize your house chores:

  1. Decide on the chores that you have. I have a full list of chores for you to pick from.
  2. Divide the chores among the family members. Point. Everyone including kids and men, (yes sorry men) are joining.
  3. Make a chores plan, printable available.
  4. Start taking it one day at a time.

Oh wait, yes even if you have a house manager who takes care of the chores, you still need to divide the work properly and monitor it. Plus according Julie Lythcott-Haims, you need to give your kids chores if you want to raise successful kids without over-parenting. Check her inspiring TedTalk on YouTube. No ads here, I don’t know the lady!
