Ever since the year started, we all had hope for a great year, so we started Chantal’s 2020 Weekly Challenge and decided to challenge ourselves for a great year one week at a time, one challenge at a time. Little did we know that we will face a lot of external challenges.
Challenge after the other, we kept persevering, until the Beirut Explosion on August 4 that left us all speechless and in shock!
It was so hard for me to make the decision to continue with Chantal’s 2020 Weekly Challenge. Despite all the craziness, I decided to continue it, yet to tailor it towards these crazy and uncertain times.
For week 26 of #Chantals2020WeeklyChallenge I will challenge myself and challenge you to reconcile with people we haven’t been okay with.
The August 4 Beirut Explosion taught us many things, among them, it taught us how short our life is and that we do not know what might happen a minute from now.
For that matter, now more than ever, we need to be more intentional about our lives and we need to live our life to the fullest.
One of the things that I personally feel the need to do is reconcile with some people.
Questions to ask ourselves before we reconcile
- We do not want to keep unfinished business unfinished
- We might have had quarrels, but if we were on our death bed would these quarrels matter?
- If we knew that the people we quarreled with died in the Beirut explosion, wouldn’t we wish we had reconciled with them?
- Is anything worth being sad about with all that is going on in the world around us?
